About Hassan Varela
Hassan Varela is a creative director,filmmaker and marketing student based in Southern California. Currently studying Film and Media Studies and Marketing at UC Irvine, he creates work that blends cinematic storytelling with thoughtful digital strategy.
Working across fashion, beauty, music, and branded content, Hassan enjoys developing concepts from the first idea through production and post production. Whether directing campaigns, creating editorial imagery, or producing content for social media, he is passionate about telling stories that feel authentic, visually engaging, and culturally relevant. As he continues to grow his freelance career, Hassan is focused on expanding into larger commercial and editorial projects while refining his voice as a filmmaker and creative director.

New Forum Publication
Being published in the "New Forum" was a milestone that marked the beginning of my editorial journey. Out of more than 300 submissions, only 25 projects were selected, and I was honored to have my creatively directed series, "Ondas Americanas", included. Seeing the project recognized on that platform reinforced my passion for visual storytelling and creative direction. It became the first of many publications and served as a reminder that taking creative risks can lead to opportunities I never imagined.
